Iraq confirms its commitment to partnership and the United States to subsidize

Baghdad, Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari yesterday Iraq's commitment to a lasting partnership with the United States in all areas, as promised U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to stay home a strong partner with Iraq and to work with him until the re-build itself as a democracy.

Hoshyar Zebari said during a joint press conference with his U.S. counterpart, Hillary Clinton, at the State Department in Washington that "Iraq is committed to a lasting partnership with the United States on the basis of the strategic framework agreement".

Noting that "this agreement is very comprehensive because it provides for the two countries for future mutual cooperation in many areas."

Zebari said that "the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq does not mean the withdrawal of presence, friendship and American influence," asserting that "the relationship with the two countries will continue, but in different forms."

For her part, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that "a new chapter in relations between Iraq and the United States will open within the strategic framework agreement," asserting that "the two countries are going through in the days of historical as complete withdrawal of U.S. forces and we define our new partnership with free and democratic Iraq."

She added that the "strategic framework agreement will provide a powerful road map for us to work together at the highest levels," noting that "there are challenges ahead but we will face together as strategic partners and as friends."

The Minister of State that "the United States will continue to stand with Iraq and to work with the people and the Iraqi government to build a stable, secure and prosperous."

And visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is currently the United States at the head of a ministerial delegation chief, met during the visit of senior U.S. officials, including President Barack Obama, who said in a press conference, on Monday evening, with al-Maliki that the United States will be close and support for Iraq after the withdrawal, With Maliki confirmed that the US-Iraqi relations will not end with the withdrawal of its troops from Iraq.
