Al-Maliki meets with elite Iraqi community in the United States

Washington, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki we look forward to strengthening bilateral relations with the United States through the passes in the framework Convention.

Prime Minister: the aim of the visit to Washington is to confirm that the relationship with the US side will not end with the end of the withdrawal of troops, and the second phase will be the relationship of a civil nature and encompass all areas of cultural, economic and trade.

He said, adding that among the projects to be implemented during the federal budget are projects of the Ministry of transport as giant strategy projects and those projects highlighted FAO port and railway network, airports, etc.

"Al-Maliki: allocations from the budget in 2012 to build the breakwater and the rest of the port will be built either at the expense of Iraq or through investment, adding that the need now is to build the port, but in a giant railway because we want to be a commercial corridor to connect Iraq with the rest of the States.


Prime Minister: the presence of large projects would be completed soon, especially in the oil sector and electricity and construction and building airports in addition to infrastructure projects, stating that the policies of the former regime bequeathed a devastating, he said, adding that the Government's plan for the reconstruction of all funeral destroyed in the past.

Noted: the process of reconstruction require the return of Iraqi capabilities and competencies in abroad for successful reconstruction, stressing the Government's willingness to provide a suitable environment for their return.
