Iraq and U.S Big Days Sat. Dec.10th and Wed. Dec. 14th ~ Obama to Mark End of Iraq war with speech at Fort Bragg; will also attend Army vs. Navy game

President Barack Obama will thank the U.S. military for its lengthy commitment to the war in Iraq next week during a speech to troops at Fort Bragg. All U.S. troops will leave Iraq by the end of the year. Ahead of that milestone, the White House says Obama wants to speak directly to troops and their families to offer his appreciation for their service and sacrifice. Michelle Obama will accompany the president when he travels to the North Carolina Army post next Wednesday.

Army and Navy will meet for the 112th time and for the first time inside the Capital Beltway when they square off on Saturday, Dec. 10 at FedExField (82,000) in the annual Army-Navy Game presented by USAA. Obama to mark end of Iraq war with speech at Fort Bragg; will also attend Army vs. Navy game

The president, along with Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, will also help mark the end of the war by attending the annual Army vs. Navy football game in the Washington area on Saturday
